Time Northern Flat Final night tips

A cracking night in store at Newcastle this evening as the Time Greyhound Nutrition Northern Flat Final takes centre stage supported by 10 other opens including the Arena Racing Company Angel Of The North Final and you can catch all the action on Gone To The Dogs - Live!

DELIVEROO can land the spoils for trainer Tom Heilbron in the Time Greyhound Nutrition Northern Flat Final at Newcastle this evening at 9.28. Heilbron has three runners in the final with Droopys Bookem lining up in trap one and Unanimous Leon with an unfamiliar draw in trap five but with Deliveroo being the sole wide seed with five railers inside, he can use the draw to his advantage. 

He needs to come away running as there is plenty of early pace in the race including Unanimous Leon and Hardwick Mighty in trap four who are both on his immediate inside, however, the draw has not worked out too well for the five railers apart from the strong running Droopys Bookem on the inside in trap one. Naochra in two and Slingshot Shaz in three both need a flyer as the old saying goes “draws win races” I will be with Deliveroo on the outside.

As well as the Northern Flat Final we also have the Arena Racing Company Angel Of The North Final at 9.11pm that can go to KILLIEFORD HANNA who lines up from trap one in the decider. Roy Smith’s recent win machine at Star Pelaw and now Newcastle went one better in the semi-finals than she did in round one by landing the spoils in 28.64 calculated leading at the first bend to beat Skeard Josie who lines up in trap four this evening by two and a half lengths. She could be drawn perfectly on the inside to go well getting the better of favourite Coppice Sapphire in trap three who has been very professional throughout the competition. 

She is surrounded by pace with Bluebell Teddy in trap two and Skeard Josie capable of going to the bend well, with Bogger Darling lining up in five and the blistering early pace of Domino Hoo Hoo in trap six who looks certain to lead. If Dominoh Hoo Hoo does lead, whatever gets first run at her I would fancy to reel her in and I am with Killieford Hanna on the inside to get first run on the rest of her rivals and catch Dominoh Hoo Hoo with Coppice Sapphire an obvious danger if getting a clear run.

The nap of the evening is trap one SALACRES BELLEZA in the marathon over 895m at 7.27pm. She can go one better than she did at Towcester after finishing second in the Dorando on Derby Final night last month. Peter Harnden’s bitch ran a huge race taking it up on the second lap before eventually being run down late on by Alright Patricia, going down a neck in defeat and she steps back up in trip again following a month off. 

She has trialled well over the 480m and the 706m trip at Newcastle ahead of this race so with a decent break she can clear her rivals before powering away on the second lap as she did at Towcester but this time there is no Alright Patricia or Ballymac Taylor giving chase, so she should be able to hold on.
