Joe's Thursday Tips

***8.41 Hove - Kevins Rocket (3pts) 3/1
**7.16 Hove - Scooby Pacemaker (2pts) 2/1
*8.24 Hove - Braydens Buddy (2pts) 6/4

Plenty of open races to get stuck into at Hove this evening following on from last night's small profit.

The nap of the evening is trap one Kevins Rocket in the Coral Thursday Night 500 Standard at 8.41pm. He has a good make up here with the main danger El Tornillo drawn outside Droopys Dialogue who will move off from trap three. That should allow Kevins Rocket a clear run so as long as he clears Droopys Jiver ok on the run to the corner, the dog who has been running behind Bockos Diamond and Bombay Pat can take full advantage this evening.

The next best is trap one Scooby Pacemaker in the Coral Thursday Night 515 at 7.16pm. Another greyhound who contested this year's Greyhound Derby making the second round, Scooby Pacemaker has the perfect draw to work from on the inside that he can make pay. Long Fellow in trap three should make the early running and similar to the nap as long as Scooby Pacemaker can hold Beloved Brenda on his immediate outside to the first bend, he should prove too strong for the leader turning off the last bend.

The third bet for the evening is trap six Braydens Buddy in the Coral Thursday Night 695 Maiden Stayers at 8.24pm. He has found himself in a winnable race against dogs who have been tried and tested over the stiff six bends at Hove and although Braydens Buddy is stepping up in trip for the first time, his strong-running displays over the 500m at this track can see him make a winning start over the staying trip. He should turn in front of the field here and if doing so can keep finding more in front.
