Joe's Tuesday Tips - 1 July 2025
Joe Conneely has set his sights on the Swindon card this evening for his Tuesday greyhound racing tips.

Joe's Tuesday Tips
***7.16 Swindon - Swift Oilean (3pts) 5/6
**7.49 Swindon - Droopys Suprstar (2pts) 10/3
*7.33 Swindon - Cul Na Braithre (2pts) 11/4
Three open races at Swindon this evening over two, four and six bends.
First up is the Blunsdon Maiden Sprint over 262m at 7.16pm where trap five Swift Oilean should have too much for her rivals. She was a good winner of a D2 just over a month ago clocking 15.35 before getting beaten in top grade D1 when odds on. She ran well in an open at Perry Barr last time out finishing second albeit she was beaten over four lengths, so returning to her home track can see Swift Oilean return to her best to pick up this maiden getting the better of Blue Drout and Gob Smacked.
Next up is the Blunsdon Standard over 476m at 7.33pm and a very competitive affair where plenty of the runners know each other through previous runs. I am going to be with Cul Na Braithre in a race that could suit his strong running style. Newinn Sharky and Eze both need to lead and with Haverhill Lass drawn out in trap five, that affects her chances trying to clear Ardera Sam on her inside. Baggios Intent is always there or thereabouts without getting her head in front so it could pave the way for Cul Na Braithre to pick up the pieces in a false run race. He got the better of Newinn Sharky two runs ago before being beat by Southfield Duke last week so he can return to winning ways in a competitive race.
The final open of the evening is the Blunsdon Stayers over 682m at 7.49pm where I am going to take a chance that Droopys Suprstar traps and goes far enough clear. He needs to break well to use his four bend speed to surge clear into the fifth bend as from there he will be tying up but he if can come away running he might just skip the field before coming back to them late on with the likes of Frankton Ivy and Ballymac Mags racing home. Baggios Dilemma and Invergarry ideally need to be off the front and Eagles Respect is better drawn this week to run a big race but i'll side with the short runner Droopys Suprstar.
