Joe's Tuesday Tips

***8.41 Swindon - Ballymac Mags (6pts) 4/6
**7.33 Swindon - Ballydoyle Boo (3pts) 2/1
*7.49 Swindon - Rockmount Frank (1pts) 4/1

Seven open races at Swindon make for an enjoyable Tuesday evening of racing.

The nap of the night runs in the Blunsdon Stayers over 682m at 8.41pm. Trap one Ballymac Mags has found herself in with the likes of Getup Me Boy and Cul Na Braithre over four bends and Alright Patricia over six bends so she takes a significant drop in class this evening and with the ideal draw in trap one she should comfortably return to winning ways. A 28.20 bitch over the four bends, Ballymac Mags four bend speed should see her leave her rivals behind in the early and middle part of the race to which she should have opened up a big enough gap to come home in front.

The next best is trap one Ballydoyle Boo in the Blunsdon Maiden Standard Division B at 7.33pm. Another with a good draw to work from and an August 23 puppy who should improve for the impressive second behind Ballymac Loca in A2 company two runs back. She has mainly been sprinting including a 15.35 victory at the end of March so she is unexposed over the four bends and any improvement on her A2 defeat two runs ago sees her go close this evening.

The third bet of the evening is trap two Rockmount Frank in the Blunsdon Maiden Standard Division A at 7.49pm. Trap three Hard Done Boy will likely go off favourite and beat Rockmount Frank by 6 1/4 lengths on debut. However Hard Done Boy was in trap two with Rockmount Frank in trap three and the former only got to tonight’s selection at the first bend so I expect Rockmount Frank to hold Hard Done Boy this evening with the draw reversed. He clocked an impressive 28.29 when winning A2 last time out so arrives in good form and at a big price I am hoping he can reverse the form with the jolly.
