Joe's Tuesday Tips

***8.07 Swindon - Voyage Stanley (4pts) 2/1
**7.33 Swindon - Cunnigar Abu (2pts) 11/2
*8.24 Swindon - Sallowglen Hope (2pts) 3/1

Six opens at Swindon this evening with three divisions of the standard, a bitches race, maiden standard and staying race.

We kick off with the Blunsdon Ladies at 7.16pm in what is a really strong bitches race. Trap one Southfield Poppy is looking to make it a hat-trick of wins at Swindon and a five timer overall with two Perry Barr victories before heading to Swindon. However, she finds herself in a tough race with trap two Danish Ruby in fine form also seeking a Swindon hat-trick and Union Piper coming here on the back of a 26.70 demolition job at Oxford last time out. It is hard to look past Southfield Queen especially drawn inside so I am with her to make it five on the spin leading at the first bend and making all.

The Blunsdon Maiden Standard is at 7.33pm where Cunnigar Abu has trialled well in 28.44 after winning A2s and competing in A1s at Oxford. He needs to clear Signet Lyssa on his inside and if doing so he can hold Rolo Rosie on his outside to pick up a first open race victory.

Next we have the Blunsdon Standard Division C at 7.49pm. If trap six Hurry Up Brendan takes to the track he should take all the beating here for John Lambe. His Perry Barr form is chalk and cheese to his form elsewhere with three A1 victories in a row at his home track including a 28.30 three-length victory over the talented Swift Underwater ten days ago. He reached the second round of the Derby going out behind Romeo Tomcat and has found himself in a winnable open here as long as he comes away in his best fashion and handles the track.

At 8.07pm we have the Blunsdon Standard Division B where I am with trap five Voyage Stanley. He got the start horribly wrong last week on his comeback run but showed all sorts of pace in defeat although finishing over eight lengths behind the winner. A level break sees this dog lead a long way where Swift Underwater can act as a goalkeeper to the likes of Cul Na Braithre who will be rattling home but if Voyage Stanley comes away on terms he can go far enough clear to hold on.

The Blunsdon Standard Division A is at 8.24pm and looks a very trappy affair. Southfield Duke has been costly to follow of late and looks set for another tough time with Ballymaz Zeela on his inside possessing fine early pace which could stop Southfield Duke in his tracks. I am going to be with Sallowglen Hope in trap five who if getting first run on Invergarry in six can go well. He is in good form at this track and Towcester so if he can get a clear run at Eze and Ballymac Zeela he can go onto win a competitive race.

The final open of the night is the Blunsdon Stayers at 8.41pm where Droopys Suprstar can follow up last week's victory by winning again. He just about sees this trip out but his four-bend speed can see him him the front early enough and pull away before the rest of the field are able to catch him.
