Juvenile contenders Time it right at Towcester
Amigo, Ability and Lady post fast clocks in preparation for valuable one-off

Dual Cat One winner Santas delivers super-quick trial
SANTAS AMIGO was the star of the show at a high-quality trials session at Towcester on Sunday.
David Mullins' Arc Classic and PGR All England Cup winner, named joint-GBGB Newcomer of the Year at last month's GBGB Awards, sped round the Northamptonshire venue in a rapid 28.51 for the 500m trip to rubber-stamp his credentials for next Sunday's Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile Championship. He is one of 14 nominations for the prestigious £5,000 one-off, the field for which is set to be decided on Monday, followed by the draw.
The Patrick Janssens-trained Romeo Ability, another possible Juvenile contender, also impressed with a 28.75 trial defeat of Angie Kibble's Malcolm Bosh in 28.75, while other Juvenile nominations to trial were Richard Rees's Arc Kent Plate heroine Scooby The Lady (28.82), Nathan Hunt's Goldcash Warrior (28.85) and Graham Holland's Irish raider Gaytime Clyde (28.92).
Other trials of note included Romeo Tomcat, Patrick Janssens' recent BGBF British Breeders Stakes winner, who posted 28.91 as he continued his preparations for the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Derby with a trial defeat of Paul Young's Teejays Chelms.
The latter's kennelmate Noellie, the Coral Gold Collar champion, posted 15.75 in a 270m trial, while Richard Rees's Texas Jack moved well with a 15.82 two-bend workout.
Sunday's card at Towcester included a host of trial stakes for the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Derby.
