Compiled and edited by Ashlee Williams, ‘Catch Him If You Can The Legacy of Links Maverick’ is the next in a serious of special videos focussing on the career of a canine star and it will be released at 6pm on the GTTD YouTube channel.

The May 2021 son of Grangeview Ten and Havana Lottie is undoubtedly one of the best dogs to come out of the north east in recent times and his electric early speed lit up tracks all over the country.

The feature covers his story from his first race in October 2022 to his last outing in April this year, when he bowed out in style with a victory in a final at Sunderland.

Trained by Tom Heilbron, there were no shortage of highlights between the dog's first and last runs, and this feature captures them all – including a very special 2023 campaign. During that year, Links Maverick picked up three Category One titles in the shape of the Northern Puppy Derby at Newcastle, the Pall Mall at Oxford and the Gold Cup at Monmore.
