*** Brickhill Tamika - 7.27 Nottingham

** Born Racer - 8.36 Nottingham

* Jacktavern Ringo - 8.01 Nottingham

There are a couple of very strong sprints this evening at Nottingham, with Brickhill Tamika fancied to take the first of them. He has overcome a draw in four in the past, landing his semi-final the Dunstall Dash from the black jacket back in April. He has only raced here once when a wide-margin scorer in March, and the gap since his last visit should not be an issue for a dog who runs all track well.

The other sprint can go to Born Racer who has been in very smart form of late at Sheffield, winning three of his last four starts there. He has won at this track in the past, that coming from the same red jacket that he will sport this evening, clocking 17.71. If he can reproduce that from the innermost draw, it will take a good one to beat him.

The other open is a 500m maiden where Jacktavern Ringo could be the call on the outside. He shaped well in a 480m contest at this track back in early June, only beaten a length. He has gone quicker in a trial over that same trip since, and the step up to 500m will give him a longer run to the bend which will help him stretch his legs, with a vacant trap inside of him giving him plenty of room.
