There are a small number of open races at Nottingham this evening where we have taken a look over the card to find our top three picks for the day.
Monday's Tips
*** Baby Warrior - 8.19 Nottingham
** Skyfall Ornament- 8.36 Nottingham
* Sawdust Peg - 9.11 Nottingham
There is some solid form in the back catalogue at Nottingham for Baby Warrior and hopefully she can tap back into that level of form this evening from the inside draw. Her best run saw her dip under 30 seconds when behind 2025 Derby semi-finalist No Better Feelin who is very hard to beat at this track. A repeat of that would see her home in front.
Ari Up will probably be favourite in the 8.36 but she has not produced at Hove having looked smart at Towcester. This is her first look around a trickier track than Hove which could be too much for her first time. Skyfall Ornament is on her inside in trap two with a very slow starter in one. If Ari Up does move off at the opening bend, it should fling the door wide open for the selection to scoot through and take advantage.
The staying race at 9.11 is full of formalines behind Mossrich Sally. Sawdust Peg actually beat that bitch in an S1 contest here before Esther Driver's stayer for revenge in an open race. That leaves the selection as a maiden in open company and she might be a touch of value here in what looks a decent enough contest for the level.
