There is open race action this evening at Nottingham with heats of a sprint competition and a pair of Cat Three finals. We have a trio of selections for the card.
Monday's Tips
*** Crokers Harry - 8.36 Nottingham
** Carmac Cash - 9.46 Nottingham
* Sawdust Peg - 9.28 Nottingham
The lack of a look around is a little bit of a worry for Crokers Harry but his recent form puts him ahead of these as long as he copes with the different track. He beat Roanna Mamba at Sheffield three starts back and that dog would be 1/5 or shorter to see these off. He would not need to get back to anything like that level to win this.
Carmac Cash is entitled to strip fitter for his Sheffield return to action, his first race in more than four months. He has a decent yardstick in Aghaburren Ben on his inside but that rival has an unfamiliar draw to work from. The selection showed solid form last autumn and can prove the stronger of the pair coming home.
A maiden stayers contest will see Sawdust Peg and Mossrich Sally renew rivalry after meeting in an S1 last time out. Sawdust Peg came out on top that day where she looked like she was easing up a little at the usual pick up point which saw her go a length down before battling back to win. They are drawn the opposite way around tonight which will help Sally but Peg looks the stronger of the pair.
