There are open race contests at Nottingham this evening where we have our three selections to kick off the week.
Monday's Tips
*** Bombay Fantasy - 8.19 Nottingham
** Swift Kipper - 9.11 Nottingham
* Skeard Daisy May - 8.54 Nottingham
It's been a while since Bombay Fantasy has got his head in front but he is the class act in his contest this evening. Although his last 17 runs have only seen two wins, the list of dogs he has been taking on include Droopys Bookem, Elusivenomore, Bombay Nutty, Keefill Goose and other Category One performers. With nothing like that class in opposition, he can get his head back in front.
Swift Kipper has been in flying form this year and her win in the heats of the Arena Racing Company Standard Trophy suggest that she is not done with picking up the gold medal. She was two and a half lengths quicker than any of the other finalists with the one who got closest to her now having (on paper at least) a far worse draw than last Monday night.
A sprinter without a look since September 2023 on her immediate inside means that Skeard Daisy May needs to be on her toes at the traps this evening but she is a very capable performer at this track. A repeat of the 4.97 split that she produced when winning an A1 contest last time out should be good enough to take control of these early and that can see her go on to score again.
