Mondays tips from Nottingham

Three selections from Nottingham this evening on a mixed card featuring five open races.

At 7.44 look out for CHELMS BEAR from T1 in the Arc Gents Standard open race over the four-bend 500 metre trip at the Colwick Road venue. Last time out in the £12,500 to the winner Arc Select Stakes Chelms Bear ran a cracker to finish third behind 2024 Greyhound Of The Year Wicky Ned and 2025 Star Sports / TRC English Greyhound Derby champion Droopys Plunge. Tonight, Chelms Bear will take all the beating granted a clear run. Ballymac Odin looks the likely leader from T4, but if Chelms Bear turns within striking distance and is close enough to challenge he will be flying home looking to hit the front late on.

At 8.36 FRATTON BARK (T2) appeals in the Arc Sprint Trophy open race at 8.36 over the two-bend 305-metre trip. Yarmouth raider Fratton Bark returns to action this evening following a layoff from mid-April. Recent trials around his home track suggest all is well and with a ping break he will prove hard to beat this evening.

WOLF GOLD, who runs from T5 in the Arc Gents Standard Trophy open race at 8.01 over the four-bend 500-metre trip looks a play at the prices on offer. Wolf Gold stays on well, so this is all about getting a clear run early on. A vacant box in T6 gives Wolf Gold a nice draw to work from, turn handy, and he can hit the front by the third bend and power clear. Towcester raider Trapstyle Bluey rates as the danger from T1.
