Monmore Offers Free Greyhound Racing Entry During National Greyhound Week
Monmore Green Stadium is opening its doors for free admission during National Greyhound Week 2025, running from Monday, August 25 to Sunday, August 31. With family-friendly activities and a focus on community engagement, the event celebrates the excitement of greyhound racing and invites fans—old and new—into the heart of the greyhound scene.
Monmore Celebrates National Greyhound Week with Free Family Admission
Monmore Green is offering families the chance to experience the thrill of greyhound racing for free as part of a nationwide drive to showcase the sport.
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is running its third annual National Greyhound Week from Monday, August 25 to Sunday, August 31.
Free Entry All Week at Monmore Greyhounds
Monmore is joining the celebration by offering free general admission throughout the week, including:
Bank Holiday Monday afternoon
Thursday evening
Saturday night race meetings
These fixtures give families and fans a chance to enjoy the sport first-hand in a fun, welcoming environment.
Bank Holiday Monday: Family Fun & Charities
The Bank Holiday Monday afternoon meeting will be the flagship event of the week, featuring:
An ice cream van
Face painting
Meet & greet with retired greyhounds from Greyhound Trust Wolverhampton
In addition, Monmore will raise funds for both Prostate Cancer UK and Children With Cancer UK via a charity raffle. Prizes include a free meal for four in the track's viewing restaurant.
