The opening semi-final of the Ladbrokes Summer Stayers pitches the two fastest heat winners against one another. Both Gary The Arb and New Destiny will be looking to take control early, the question will be whether they avoid one another or will potential trouble can set things up for the powerful finish of Deadly Disco. However it works out, it is going to be a cracking start to proceedings.

He is going to have to come away running to clear Romeo Empire on his inside with further pace pressure to his outside. Union Rebel was a decent heat winner last week and he has been given a beautiful draw to try and add his name into the hat for another Category One final. Droopys Aladdin will need all of his early pace to clear the trio inside him with Naochra and Headford Dane requiring the rub of the green from tricky looking slots.

Plenty of early speed in the middle semi, a race that looks set to be won and lost on the run to the opening turn. Connections of all six greyhounds will harbour hopes of making it into the decider with this looking the most competitive race on paper.

Crossfield Enzo went quickest on Saturday night in the heats of the Gold Cup. He will lock horns once more with Deliverooo who chased him home. Gingers Prince improved with each round of the Pall Mall and could do so again here after a solid opening effort.
