Newcastle Stats - 2025

All eyes on Newcastle tomorrow with the Gone To The Dogs – Live! cameras heading up to the track for the Time Greyhound Nutrition Northern Flat and ARC Angel of The North finals plus supporting opens.

Coverage will start at 7pm and include nine races live from the Byker venue.

Lets delve into the stats at the north east venue Newcastle.

If you are looking for stats, then Greyhound Stats UK is the go-to website for all Greyhound Racing Statistics.

The website offers a variety of stats, including average winning time in graded races, track stats by trap numbers, trainer stats plus many more options like individual graded racing stats from all the tracks in the UK.

Newcastle, for example, shows that T3 is the most common winner in four-bend graded action, with 19% of winners wearing the white jacket. Next in is T6 with 18.3%, followed by T4 with 18% of winners.

In sixth place is T2 with 15.8%, with T1 at 16.7%. T5 is middle of the pack at 17.5% of wins in a sample size of 1379 runners and 242 winners, according to the Greyhoundstatsuk.co.uk website.

The six-bend 640-metre distance stats show wide runners way out in front, with T5 winning 26.3% of races and T6 next in at 23.5%.

Fastest winners of 2025.

Taking a look at the fastest times recorded during 2025 and Tyne Tees Richie heads the list with a flying 17.26 run over the two-bend 290-metre trip at the Byker venue.

Over the four-bend 480-metre distance, Droopys Deploy is quickest with a 28.10 run recorded back on February 13 beating Ballymac Axel by five lengths in the Arena Racing Company Northern Flat Puppy Derby semi-final. Ballymac Axel runs in the third semi-final of the Coral Sussex Cup on Saturday evening at Hove and is one to note in the market following his return to action following a lengthy lay-off.

The second-quickest time of the year goes to Naochra with a 28.12 run in mid-May. Naochra lines up from T2 tomorrow evening in the £12,500 to the winner Time Greyhound Nutrition Northern Flat final at 9.28 on Gone To The Dogs – Live!

The six-bend 640-metre trip 2025 quickest time of the year goes to Ballymac Lineout with a 38.33 run back on January 30. Ballymac Lineout runs from T2 tomorrow evening in the Arena Racing Company Standard Final at 8.19 over the 480m distance. Lineout stays on strong, granted a clear run he should go close.

Average Graded Winning Times.

An interesting stat available on greyhound stats website is the average winning time in graded races. Newcastle stages races between A1 and A9 with the top graded races won around the 28.77 mark with bottom grade races going to the winner win an average of 30.20. This shows that, on average, there would be around 17 lengths difference between an A1 winner to an A9 winner.

Tickets are available online from £9 and can be purchased via www.newcastle-greyhounds.co.uk

Doors open at 5.45pm with the first of 12 races on the night off at 6.37pm.
