Only three opens at Nottingham on Monday as course waterlogged
Rain at Nottingham on Monday night saw eight races run in total, of which just three were opens but there was still time for a smart Ballinakill Liam success.

National Sprint set to burn up the sand
A weather jinx from Dani Jackson saw the action called to a halt at Nottingham last night with the track waterlogged, sorry Dani, we love you really! Sadly at that point there were some good races still to come but there was still time to get three open races run, with a couple of impressive winners.
Ballinakill Liam was backed as if defeat was out of the question against East Anglian Derby, Arena Racing Company Scurry and Premier Greyhound Racing Classic finalist Bockos Buster. The lack of a look for the latter could have been the reason, with Liam an impressive winner on his most recent visit to Colwick Park.
A 17.64 last night to follow on from that 17.59 should put him right in the mix for the upcoming National Sprint. Romeo Steel still leads the way on all times over the track and trip this year with his track record breaking 17.32 back in March. The National Sprint kicks off next Monday and at this stage, it is shaping up to be a decent renewal.
There was another sprint on the card, though over the 255m trip. Martyn Wiley doesn't make too many forays from Romford with his open racers, so it was no surprise that when he does, they are highly respected.
Unmistakeable was sent off the 6/5 favourite for the other sprint and having popped out in front, he was never going to be coming back to them. He has won two of his first three career starts, his other at Romford when stopping the clock in 24.01. He was a hair over four lengths off Newinn Bachelor's track record from last week in his win.
The only four-bend open contest went to Esther Driver's No Better Feelin. He had to dig in off a slow start but once he had collared the long-time leader Coolruss Dungary, he powered clear to win by more than four and a half lengths. A winning time of 28.60 was reflective of having to go from last to first.
