All eyes on Romford on Friday evening as the London Road venue hosts the first round of the Category One £20,000 to the winner Premier Greyhound Racing Champion Stakes over the six-bend 575-metre trip.

The Champion Stakes over the six-bend 575-metre distance is a unique blend of speed and stamina. Held annually at Romford, this competition always produces top class action with some of the best six-bend performers going head-to-head. The competition was inaugurated in 1929 at Wimbledon and moved to Romford in 1988. In recent years, favourites on finals night have gone well, with Warzone Tom (8/15), Hollow Man (8/13) and New Destiny (10/11) winning the last three finals of the Champion Stakes.
