Proper Heiress impresses in Central Park trial
Mark Walis sent his Kent Plate team for trials at Central Park on Saturday, with defending champion Proper Heiress impressing in his first look at the track since last March.

Defending champion produces flying trial on Saturday
Proper Heiress was back at Central Park on Saturday for his first visit since landing the final of the Arena Racing Company Kent Plate last March. Despite almost a year away from the Sittingbourne venue, he didn't miss a beat, producing a 28.68 run on a track that racing manger Daniel Rankin mused to be on the slow side, though we won't know for sure until the results are published.
He went just two spots off the track record when landing that final last year on going that was given as -30. Given a lighter start to his campaign ahead of another tilt at the Star Sports and Orchestrate Derby, he impressed with a pair of trials at Monmore ahead of the visit to Kent
Elsewhere in the trial session, Mark Wallis also had Silverhill Adam and Bruce Bay in action together. The former came out on top by two and a half lengths in a time of 28.85, with the MWD Partnership's Mike Davis declaring himself "delighted with all of them" ahead of the opening round of the Arena Racing Company Kent Plate next Saturday night.
