Hove's Thursday evening card featured a four-timer for Paul Young, while there were also opens at Newcastle.

Young fires in a Hove four-timer
For the second Thursday running, Paul Young recorded a four-timer at Hove last night.
After going unbeaten through a two-round event here, Noellie (evens fav) continued his impressive form when powering home for another 500m success in a useful 29.14, beating Zenith Jimbombom by two and a half lengths.
Young’s Droopys Weapon had too much firepower for his rivals when springing a 7/1 surprise in a 695m maiden contest, while his kennelmate Bluey Billet (7/2) ran out an easy winner in heat one of the Coral 500 Maiden Trophy in 30.19 (-20).
Patrick Browne’s Kick On Archie (9/4) posted 29.73 (-20) when making all from Yougo Jazz for a comfortable triumph in the second heat, while the third heat went the way of the Maxine Locke-trained Two Spot (9/4) in 30.12 (-20).
Feeling The Love (11/4) was Young’s other victor of the night as he stayed on to beat Westwind Ace in the first heat of the Coral Winner of One 500 Trophy in 30.10 (-20).
The second heat saw Rogue Duo (3/1) post a trap-to-line success from Yougo Freddie to stop the clock at 29.59 (-10) for Belinda Green, who had a treble on the night.
Green also got on the scoresheet with Guzzler (7/1), who clocked 16.61 (-10) in his sprint victory, while his kennel companion Robbies Glory kept on to take the maiden sprint at 9/4 in 16.48.
The main event of the evening was the Coral 500 Standard Trophy final and Droopys String put his rivals to the sword in the £500 decider.
Carl Gardiner’s charge popped out in the white jacket before racing into an early lead and maintained a furious march to make all in 29.32 (-10) by just under five lengths from Dazl Hermes.
Richard Rees gave the locals something to cheer about in the 500m opener as his Blarney Roy (4/5 fav) dominated for a facile six-length triumph in 29.50 (-20), while Seamus Cahill‘s Ivy Hill Cherry (7/2) flew home to score impressively over 695m in 42.95 (-30).
Newcastle opens
There were four opens on the menu at Newcastle where two heats of the Arena Racing Company Winner of One Standard featured.
Howay Tonali (7/4) set the standard for Jimmy Fenwick when coming from off the pace to land the second instalment in 28.89 (-10), while Angela Harrison’s Coolavanny Ken (15/8fav) overcame traffic problems to get up late for a 29.21 (-10) success in the first heat.
John Flaherty’s Jacktavern Lad justified 4/9 favouritism by nearly nine lengths when recording 39.18 (-20) in a facile 640m success, while the 480m puppy contest saw the Savva Roberts-trained Droopys Trigger (4/1) make all in 28.72 (-10).
