Saturday's Tips

*** Bluejig Outlaw - 8.14 Monmore

** Droopys Aladdin - 7.54 Monmore

* Headford Dane - 7.14 Monmore

It didn't take connections long to put Bluejig Outlaw over six bends and that decision has been a fruitful one. He led Mongys Wild until the fifth bend in the heats last week and even then, he was only beaten four lengths at the line, keeping the Mark Wallis-trained star honest as long as he possibly could. He has the softest looking of the three semis tonight and can cash in.

So far in his career Droopys Aladdin has been a bit of a nearly dog. His record in Cat One semi-finals is not strong but if he is to make a final then from the red jacket at Monmore gives himself the strongest opportunity that he has. He is yet to be beaten from red at this track and can use his early pace to take pole position early on once more.

Another who is a real track specialist at Monmore is Headford Dane. The winner of both the Premier Greyhound Racing Puppy Derby and the Ladbrokes Gold Cup at this track in 2025, he looks set to make another Cat One decider with a win tonight. The winner of six of his seven runs at Monmore so far in his career, he has two shorter running railers to accompany him on the inside and that has the potential to be a big help to him.
