Saturday's Tips

*** Four Stout - 7.24 Doncaster

** Ballydoyle Tina - 8.18 Dunstall Park

* Annadown Warrior - 9.10 Central Park

One of the most impressive trials at the Doncaster sales back in August came from Four Stout. The bidding eventually saw him knocked down at £7,100 to go to Sean Parker. He made his race debut two weeks ago over track and trip, scoring the win despite not coming away as well as he had in his trials. Still a blank page, he is a huge player for the outright title with natural improvement to come.

Things have not quite gone the way of Ballydoyle Tina so far in the Oaks. She won her first round heat but didn't get on top until the three-quarter mark. Beaten last week in the second round, she is more than capable on her Irish form of making a massive step up on that and like most for Graham Holland, she is expected to be peaking perfectly for the final itself in a week's time.

The Kent Derby final is the contest of the night at Central Park and it is a trappy affair where a case can be made for the big four at the head of the market. The suspicion is that we are yet to see the best of Annadown Warrior at the Sittingbourne venue, and given how well the Maxine Locke team prepped him for the Puppy Classic final where he smashed down the lids, he might just find his very best again when it matters the most.
