Saturday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 20 December 2025
There are plenty of races for our open race tips to look over this evening at Central Park and Hove with three picks made from those two meetings.
Saturday's Tips
*** Capel Moon - 7.45 Central Park
** Lets Go Johnny - 6.05 Central Park
* Rural Pest - 6.08 Hove
Although Capel Moon was not the quickest of the qualifiers for the stayers final at Central Park last week, she is the one who is the most likely to get the run of the race from the front. Her heat win was the first time that she had gone this far and that should have brought her on a little more given that she has only had four races since the end of August. She can steal enough of a march here on the closers.
Lets Go Johnny was not the most consistent type when he was trained in Ireland but when he clicked, he was a very smart type. He showed a decent level at this track on his first start for Spencer Mavrias and this looks like an easier maiden contest on paper. That should be enough to see him off the mark at the second time of asking for this kennel.
At first glance, it felt a little bit disappointing that Rural Pest was turned over on his UK debut given the level of form that he has shown in Ireland. The winner of that race clocked a 29.19, however, so in hindsight, it was probably a better run than was perhaps immediately obvious. Given it was his first race outing since September, he is entitled to sharpen up for it and he is more than capable of winning this.
