The pick of the action on Saturday night comes from Monmore where they host the finals of the Ladbrokes Gold Cup and Summer Stayers Classic.

After his win in the Time Northern Flat, Woltemade has been foot perfect in his two wins in the Ladbrokes Gold Cup. He has been timing his break exceptionally well, contributing some flying splits which have in turn produced some very smart end times. There is plenty of early boot across this lineup, so he is going to have to be on his mettle, but he has the class to get the job done.
There are a couple of very smart new stayers on the scene in the final of the Ladbrokes Summer Stayers Classic, with preference just going to Fortanach Col over Zenith Pasha. Races over the 630m trip are always an interesting puzzle to unpick as there is such a short run to the first bend, but the selection has shown that he can win off the front here as well as off the pace at Sheffield in the final of the Time 3 Steps. He is still unexposed as a stayer and should have better still to come.
One of the most interesting bets on the undercard is Wise Tournament. She has been in flying form at this track for the last couple of months, boasting a special mix of early pace and stamina. She didn't time her break well enough in the semis of the Gold Cup last week but back against her own sex, she is going to take plenty of beating.
