Saturday's Tips

*** Millbank Rocco - 6.50 Central Park

** Thurlesbeg Pablo - 5.50 Central Park

* Carrick Scholsey - 7.54 Monmore

Millbank Rocco has only had a couple of goes over six bends so far, finding all the trouble going in the most recent of those when a beaten favourite. He is better judged on his other run over 664m when runner-up to Burrows Charm (albeit six and a half lengths adrift) when Jason Heath's runner set the track record. A repeat of that would make him very hard to beat in this field.

It is a British debut tonight for Thurlesbeg Pablo at Central Park. He signed off at Shelbourne with four straight wins, including one in a sprint that was 31 spots off the quickest of the year. Given the quality of greyhound ahead of him in the fastest of the year board, that is a very smart run. He has trialled well here for Paul Donovan and looks well capable of going in at the first time of asking.

There is a very competitive six-bend maiden at Monmore tonight where Carrick Scholsey is an interesting one, drawn right on the inside. He won both of his starts at Shelbourne when he sported the red jacket, producing a flying 2.01 split in one of those on his way to a 28.34. His form since joining Mike Burton has not been quite to that level but this could be an interesting opportunity for him.
