Saturday to become the open race focus at Oxford
Oxford have announced that Saturday will be their feature day for opens rather than Sunday which has changed the dates for the upcoming bet365 Hunt Cup.

Saturday the new Sunday at Oxford
Oxford have been playing it by ear over the last few weeks when it comes to their open races. Saturday and Sunday have both seen the action but it has been decided that Saturday is the favoured day, for now at least.
The upcoming bet365 Hunt Cup will be run over three consecutive Saturdays in March with the opening round on the 14th, the semis on the 21st and the final on the 28th.
That will also be the case for the Sandy Lane Sprint which will now kick off on the 28th of February followed by the semis on the 7th of March and the final on the 14th.
Consultation with trainers have helped to shape the move with the closing date for opens now on a Tuesday at 12:00 noon rather than on a Wednesday as they currently do.
There are also a string of Category Three competitions at the track which kick off with a Stayers and a Maiden Standard this weekend with the entries for those closing tomorrow despite the heats on Saturday.
