Silverhill Freya is a red-hot favourite with the sponsors for the bet365 Empress Stakes final at Towcester on Sunday.

Graham Holland’s bitch has won both of her outings at Towcester in fine style from the front and she has set the standard in the heats and semi-finals. She booked her place in the final with a five-length demolition job on Sunday and connections will be happy with her draw in the blue jacket.

The Cork and Christmas Oaks winner is one of three unbeaten finalists, along with Strike It Sky and Baroness Velvet.

The Mark Wallis-trained Strike It Skye looks to be a puppy with a bright future and she has stayed on strongly to beat Yahoo Mareike in both rounds so far, completing a four-timer in the process.

Despite not coming away too well, Baroness Velvet has shown smart early speed for Kevin Hutton in her two runs and she has trap one again for the £10,000 decider.

Richie Taberner’s Chakra and Belinda Green’s Ballymac Kinga complete the line-up and both need to improve if they are to open their account in the competition when it matters most.
