SIS release further details on their schedule streamlining
SIS announced this morning some of the further changes. that they are making to the streamlining of their greyhound racing schedule.

SIS make further schedule changes
An updated programme from SIS to make a more 'optimised and sustainable schedule' took a step forward with news of changes to Star Pelaw. They will now race on a Friday afternoon with an option to take their Sunday night action onto a Saturday evening fixture.
This now means that the Valley will race on a Tuesday afternoon permanently. The restructure kicked off last week with the end of racing on the schedule at both Oxford and Suffolk Downs.
There will be further tweaking to be made over the coming months with extra fixtures being taken from Ireland. Thurles, Cork and Youghal are all being teed up for this with SIS adding extra coverage of the feature and classic competitions in Ireland on a Saturday night.
SIS announced on their site that 'these adjustments form part of SIS’s ongoing response to the significant financial, regulatory and welfare challenges facing the sport. Rising taxation, reductions in betting shop numbers and the planned increase to Remote Gaming Duty in 2027 continue to place pressure on bookmaker profitability.
'SIS remains committed to working with industry stakeholders to deliver a balanced, high-quality greyhound racing product that supports the future of the industry.'
