Slingshot Poppy the market leader in the Coral Golden Sprint
Coral have released their ante-post prices for their Golden Sprint competition which kicks off on Friday night at Romford. They make Slingshot Poppy their favourite.
Golden Sprint starts at Romford this week
The Brian Fairbairn-trained Newcastle raider Slingshot Poppy heads the sponsor's market for the Coral Golden Sprint which starts at Romford on Friday.
The Arc Puppy Trophy winner at Sunderland last year, the Craig Armstrong-owned star flew round Romford in a prep trial last week in 23.58sec and has been installed a 7-4 chance to win the Category One contest over 400m.
Mark Russell's impressive Nottingham winner Da Don is second favourite at 6-1 ahead of Kevin Boon's Bockos Buster at 8-1. The latter reached last year's Arc Scurry Gold Cup Final behind Shadow Storm at Dunstall Park before running-up to Santas Amigo in the Arc Classic Final at Sunderland.
Six heats of the Coral Golden Sprint on Friday will see the first three qualify for the semi-finals on Friday, March 13 and the final on Friday, March 20.
