Following on from the semi-finals of the Category Two Sr Transport Rose Bowl and Untold Racing Stewards Cup at Star Pelaw, let’s take a look at the outright betting market for both competitions and the draws for the finals which will take place on Saturday, October 18.

The draw for the SR Transport Rose Bowl can be seen below.

Hillside Lily is the 11/10 favourite with Star Sports, while Dreamin Porcha is next in at 5/4. Unanimous Kai is priced up at 7s with Moolah 12s. Trooper Mcevoy is also priced up at 12s, with Toonrlee the outsider of the field at 20s.

“Exciting times ahead, and we have two really good Category Two finals on Saturday night.’’

Talking about the Rose Bowl final over the four-bend 435-metre trip on Saturday, October 18, Dave Gray said: “It looks a match up for me between local Dreamin Porcha who will take all the stopping if she leads and Hillside Lily, who can be a thorn in her side if she traps out like she did in the semi-finals.’’

Emily Superstar, who lines up from T2 in the £3000 to the winner Category Two Untold Racing Stewards Cup, is the 11/10 favourite with Star Sports. Well-drawn in T2, the Glenn Foot-trained railer will take all the beating with a level break. Ballymac Sargie trapped well in the semi-finals and made all in 35.96. If you fancy the Newcastle raider to do the same on Saturday evening, you can get 11/4 with Star Sports. Agile Ange is a 7/2 chance with Fabulous Spell on offer at 7s. Troy Robbo is 8s with Clond Curly the outsider of the field at 16s. All prices listed are with Star Sports.  

When speaking to Sisracing.tv about the Untold Racing Stewards Cup final, Gray added: “I just think Emily Superstar, she’s got loads of experience over course and distance and if she can clear Troy Robbo (T1) in the early stages she will take some pegging back.’’

Supporting opens on the night include the Star Pelaw Ladies Trophy over the four-bend 435 metre trip plus a British Bred Trophy. The Alan Dobbin Bookmaker Marathon will also take place on Saturday, October 18 with £780 on offer to the winner.
