Star Pelaw set to race on Saturday nights from April 25
Star Pelaw have announced that Saturday night will become their new weekend slot instead of Sunday from April 25 with racing permanently on Tuesday and Friday as well.

Saturday to become new night for Star Pelaw
Star Pelaw have changed their schedule with SIS to take on a Saturday night slot instead of their Sunday nights it was announced earlier on today.
Speaking on behalf of the track on the SIS site, Kim Sanzone said, "We're all very excited at Star Pelaw about the regular Saturday fixtures starting on 25th April.
"Saturday nights were always the most popular night for the greyhound community to meet up, so a return to a traditional evening out for our trainers, owners and patrons is a welcome addition.
"As we are the only greyhound venue in the local area offering a Saturday night fixture we are anticipating a good turnout each week and plan to offer live entertainment after racing at least once a month.
"It will be a huge boost for the track and cements the commitment of both SIS and ourselves to sustaining the track".
There is a huge opportunity for the track to really bring in the crowds in the area, with the Star Sports team working hard since taking over the track to try and improve both the on-track product as well as the experience for those attending.
It was mentioned that there has not been a Saturday night fixture at any of the tracks in the north-east since before Covid which will hopefully give greyhound racing fans in the area the means to support the track and show that Saturday night is still the top night for racing.
