Starcash Barry steals the show at Brandywell on Monday night

We take a look back at the meeting from Brandywell on Monday night where veteran Starcash Barry was the most popular winner of the night.

Race 5, The ROBERT BONNER MEMORIAL 500 was sponsored by Robert’s family & friends. It was won by STARCASH BARRY in 28.55. Barry Shines on 'All The Luck In Life' Night

The All The Luck In Life Gala Night at Brandywell featured a lineup of eight sponsored memorial races, with the spotlight falling on veteran Starcash Barry. In Race 5, the Robert Bonner Memorial 500, Starcash Barry’s experience and determination paid off after leading from traprise and fending off challenges, winning by a short head in 28.55.

Race 1 kicked off with Josies Tenner securing victory in the John McCafferty Memorial Sprint. This was his second career start and he clocked a smart 17.16 on a slow track. He has a pedigree that bodes well for his future.

In Race 2, Dees Krona won the Paddy Bell Memorial Sprint after holding off a late challenge by a neck in 17.40.

The Nora Watson Memorial Sprint turned into a 2 dog battle from traprise in Race 3, with Skywalker Voyage getting the verdict over Gortin Dan in 17.14 by a neck.


Race 4 saw Lye In Wait dominating the Pat & Kitty O’Goan Memorial 525, once his stamina kicked in on the home straight. He won by two and a quarter lengths in 30.07

Shrewd Stories led Race 6, the Jason Baxter Memorial 500, for a commanding nine and a half length win in 29.14.

Race 7 featured Miss Manage, whose lineage promises a bright future.  She took part in the Donald McGarry Memorial 500 and is daughter of 2018 Irish Oaks winner Jaytee Jordan.

Finally, Generous Cashout closed the night in the Frank & Joseph Munroe Memorial Sprint when he came with a sweeping run out wide on the home straight to win by five and a half lengths in 17.12.

Enda’s dad Eamon along with his brother Jude is on right of photo. Eamon’s wife Ciara is on left of photo with her daughter Orla. Charlene O’Goan (left of centre) is holding her son Calum.
