Success for Aero Greyhounds Charity Golf Day
The first-ever Aero Greyhounds Charity Golf Day took place on 1st August 2025 at the Shropshire Golf Club in Telford, raising vital funds for Home Run Hounds—a charity supporting greyhound rehoming and welfare. The day raised £3,000 and brought together supporters of greyhound racing UK in a relaxed, sporting setting.
Success for Aero Greyhounds Charity Golf Day
The inaugural Aero Greyhounds Charity Golf Day proved a big success last Friday.
Sponsored by PCS Legal, the event took place on 1st August at the Shropshire Golf Club in Telford and was staged in aid of Home Run Hounds, with the aim to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
The day raised £3,000 for Home Run Hounds, who offer a full greyhound homing service for both seasoned and new greyhound owners.
There were prizes for first, second and third place in the Stableford team competition, as well as blind putt, nearest the pin, and longest drive challenges. A post-golf raffle and silent auction helped increase fundraising totals.
The event was a big hit within the greyhound UK community, and hopefully it will return for a second year in 2026, helping to support even more retired greyhounds and spread awareness within the wider greyhound racing scene.
