The 4.29 at Towcester this afternoon is a puppy contest that looks liable to prove to be deep when we look back at the end of the year. There are some nice types in here but none who shape with the same potential of being a star as Maxine Locke's Annadown Warrior. He was electric when he got it right in race action at Hove and shaped very well in a pair of trials here.
This Approach only made it to the second round of the Derby but he is a capable sort, and should be able to get enough of a clean run around the opening couple of bends to get away from his field. There is pace inside of him with Teejay Chelms but that one has a draw fraught with danger outside of a middle mover in Bushpark Cathel, and that one lacks a look here.
There is an interesting seeded runner in the 2.54 where Fabulous Glance can take full advantage of the draw. She was just behind her re-opposing kennelmate Fabulous Kiddo when they clashed in a D2 last week but she went sailing past on the pick up and over this longer trip, she should no issues turning that form around despite Kiddo being an unexposed pup.
