Magical Keith has bundles of early speed and has taken well to his racing at Owlerton. He is set to lead up the middle of the three BetGoodwin Steel City Cup semi-finals this afternoon and that early lead will prove invaluable with some strong runners starting to close late in the piece. Grouchos Cossie inside of him should move left to give him plenty of space on the run to the bend, so a level at worst break can see him around in front and away.

Annadown Shadow already has a major final to his credit at this track in the Gymcrack, and can safely book his place into a second this afternoon with a fluent display in his semi. He has the pace to lead up the Richie Taberner-trained pair that are berthed either side of him, and that should be enough to see him take the win. 

Woltemade and Jacktavern Turbo were both behind Holding Blaze in the heats last week, and although both sets of connections will fancy their charge to turn the tables, it might not be quite as straightforward as that. Woltemade is now 1/4 at this track, and by his own star standards, his bare times here aren't as strong as elsewhere. They are drawn the 'wrong' way round which won't help either with Turbo's first move from five going left. There could be a spot of value in Holding Blaze popping out around the outside again.
