Sunday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 12 April 2026
It's a busy Sunday in prospect with the opening round of the Bet St George Gymcrack at Sheffield and a string of Derby trial stakes at Towcester. We have tips for both cards.

Sunday's Tips
*** Droopys Vicar - 3.26 Sheffield
** Santas Amigo - 4.09 Towcester
* Malcolm Bosh - 4.47 Towcester
It is the start of the Bet St George Gymcrack at Sheffield this afternoon where the pick of the heats is Maxine Locke's Droopys Vicar in heat two. He made it to the final of the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby at Monmore where he made his race debut in the opening round. He shaped well in a trial here and with just three starts under his belt, he is still in the 'could be anything' category.
The lack of a run since the semis of the Ladbrokes Winter Derby two months ago is a slight concern where Santas Amigo is concerned ahead of the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile, but he has been flying around in trials, with connections keeping their powder dry for the upcoming Star Sports and Orchestrate Ltd English Greyhound Derby. He has a peach of a draw outside five railers, can turn second to Swords Style and come home too strongly for that rival off the last bend.
Another who could have a lovely draw to work from at Towcester is Malcolm Bosh. 500m around here is about as short as he wants but this is not the toughest of the Derby trial stakes that he has been allocated. A Produce Stakes finalist last year, he shaped well on his first ever look the track in a recent trial and a repeat of that time can see him power home late to grab the money.
