Freedom Pro Am has progressed nicely for Tom Heilbron at Newcastle, winning an A1 on his most recent start. He shaped well enough in a first look at this track last time out in a trial, and any sort of improvement off the back of that would make him a very tough sort to beat here. He still has under 20 career starts in the tank, so there should be more still to come from him.
He's old these days but Killieford Goram has found a very winnable opportunity this evening over six bends. This distance is much more suitable for him than the 435m distance is, and with a string of sub 36-second runs in the bank already, something similar would see him well in front of these. His most recent of those only came in the opening day of the year when chasing home Ballymac Sargie here.
Stamina is unknown for Ballinabola Eve who steps up to 590m for the first time in her career. She has some very smart times over the two and the four-bend trip at this track, and she might not truly need to stay this far if she is to beat this field. There is nothing that could touch her over 435m in here and she can go far enough clear to hold them off.
