There is open race action this afternoon at Sheffield where our best bet of the day comes as well as at Towcester where we have two picks from their competitions.

*** Musical Prince - 4.03 Sheffield

** Bikini Bullet - 4.47 Towcester

* Newinn Jolly - 3.32 Towcester

There is not a lot of strong form over any trip ahead of the maiden stayers at Sheffield this afternoon but Musical Prince has at least produced a 29.15 at this track when successful in an A4. He had one run over six bends in Ireland and the way that he hits the line over 500m at this track suggests that it is high time that he was stepped back up in trip. He should make a successful transition to the longer distance.

It has been a long time since we saw Bikini Bullet in race action. That might mean that she is going to be in need of the run a little bit, but she is still very much the one they have to beat in Towcester's 4.47. She ran Ladbrokes Puppy Derby winner (and Derby quarter-finalist) Underground Gold to a neck at Monmore back in February on her last start, and that form stands out here.

Newinn Jolly made the final of that Puppy Derby as well as a puppy competition at Hove back in April. He has been given a bit of a break since but has shown plenty of promise in his two trials at Towcester. He faces a solid field of pups who have their best days ahead of them, as he does, but he has achieved the most to this point and gets the nod.
