Already a Category One finalist at this track in the Gymcrack, Annadown Shadow can take his first step of another campaign at the top level. He has made three deciders of this class already in just 13 starts since joining Sean Parker. He is a class act from an exceptional litter and can see off a smart pair that flank him on the rails on the way to the first bend.
A slow start didn't help Grouchos Cossie on his return to this track last week but that refresher can stand him in good stead here. Generally he is two and a half lengths superior to that on the run to the line the first time and a repeat of that sort of sectional should see him away and gone and back to winning ways, with his main rival a strong stayer.
Moanteen Hatton didn't get into the Arc Puppy Classic at Nottingham off the back of his first trial in England but he has shown since then that he has the talent to deserve his place in this Cat One competition. A smart 28.33 win at Monmore was followed by a slick 28.25 at Dunstall Park and a solid first look here in a trial. He needs to avoid Kellies Emerald on the run to the opening bend but if he does so, he should prove hard to beat.
