Sunday's Tips - May 11

*** NAP -  4.44 Towcester T2 Romeo Ability (3pts 10/11)

** NB - 3.11 Towcester T3 Doohoma Princess (2pts 5/2)

The best bet on the card this afternoon at Towcester is the BresBet Gymcrack finalist Romeo Ability. Three of his opponents met last week with only a length and a quarter to choose between them but they look like giving best to the Patrick Janssens-trained runner. He has the early pace to get around in front and if the track is running anything like it was last night, that is going to make him a very hard dog to pick up again.

The Ladies race at 3.11 is a fascinating contest with Breton Molly dropping back to four bends for the first time since running over this same 500m last July. She has some early pace for a stayer but she might not be able to lead up Seamus Gaughan's Doohoma Princess. She is a solid stayer herself but she was also a finalist in the Blue Riband back in January. She goes well from a middle draw and might be able to get to the front early to control things.

There are a couple of other shorties on the card who might make up some nice multiples. They kick off with Glengar Maggie, trap 5 in the 4.07. She showed promise and greenness in equal measures in her recent race debut here. With that under her belt, she can prove too strong coming home for a decent local runner in Easy Texas.

Broadway Murty has been flying around in the sprints of late and there is no reason to desert him this afternoon, despite his short price. He will sport the blue jacket at 5.21 and anything similar to his recent performances is going to make him too hot to handle for his opponents.
