Sunday's Tips - 20 July 2025
Selections for Sunday at Towcester Greyhound Stadium, including strong fancies Romeo Alliance, Vermithor, and Gripwell Peg in open race action across the afternoon card.

Towcester Greyhound Racing Tips – Sunday
*** 3.49 Towcester – Romeo Alliance (4pts) 4/7
At 3.49 in the JR Racing Juvenile Classic, all eyes will be on the Patrick Janssens-trained railer Romeo Alliance, as the October 2023 youngster looks to make it three wins on the bounce and land the £10,000 prize.
Romeo Alliance has won the heats and semi-finals by a combined nine lengths, both from this rails draw in T1. Today, if he brings his trapping boots again, he can lead round and make all. Kennelmates Romeo Ability (T2) and Not So Steady (T4) can battle it out for second place.
** 3.11 Towcester – Vermithor (2pts) 4/5
At 3.11 in the Towcester Maiden Open Race over the 500-metre four-bend trip, look out for the Mark Wallis-trained youngster Vermithor from T1.
The December 2023 son of Burgess Bucks returns today after a short break following elimination in the JR Racing Juvenile Classic first-round heats. Vermithor shows plenty of early pace and will be getting stronger with each run. If he traps well, he can kick a few lengths clear and may not be for catching.
* 2.33 Towcester – Gripwell Peg (1.5pts) 13/2
One that could go well at a price this afternoon is Gripwell Peg from T2 in the Towcester Standard Open Race at 2.33. In a field lacking early pace, Peg has a chance to lead round—if that happens, it’s game on.
Table Toppers (T3) has kept good company of late and will be a danger with a clear run. Tax Evader (T6) is lightly raced and would be a threat to all with a sharp break.
