There are a few open races this afternoon at Oxford where we have taken a look for our three best greyhound racing selections of the day.

There are some short prices at Oxford this afternoon but hopefully favourite backers will be in clover once the racing is over.
Just one more open race winner is required by Angie Kibble to get to 40 in 2025 and that can come in the shape of Ballymac Mags. She had to work hard to edge out the persistent Ballymac Loca last time out over course and distance to back up a 39.45 win on a prior visit. A repeat of that sort of time is going to see her hard to beat as she looks likely to be out and on the bunny early once more this afternoon.
Kevin Hutton has seen his Start The Engine produce a string of winning runs over 450m at this track. 12 of the 14 races he has had at Oxford have seen him pass the line in front. The only slight doubt is that the sole time that he has sported the black jacket of trap four, he was beaten by Dreamin Reggie. His re-opposing kennelmate sports the striped jacket for the first time since that win but he has been behind Start The Engine three times since beating him.
Grantstown Cross has finished runner-up in all three attempts he has made to break his open duck over the 450m distance in the past. Rachel Hill's charge looks to have a strong opportunity to make it fourth time lucky this afternoon and add to a pair of September A1 wins. He clocked 26.60 in the first of those which sets a strong enough standard at this level for the others to have to try to surpass.
