Sunday Tips - 10 August 2025
There is open racing at Towcester this afternoon where Chris Oliver has found three selections for the card.

Towcester Tips for Sunday
***3.49 Towcester - Bank Of Granda 4/5 (3pt)
**3.11 Towcester - Vermithor 6/4 (1pt)
*2.16 Towcester – Kilmore Dancer 4/7 (1pt)
There are four opens on the menu at Towcester this afternoon and Bank Of Granda has a good chance to complete a C&D hat-trick in the 712m contest at 3.49.
She goes up against Salcres Belleza, who has impressed in marathon wins at Newcastle (895m) and Hove (955m) on her last two stars, but the Mattie Richards-trained runner could be away and gone before that strong-staying rival gets into full stride over this six-bend distance. Following an easy win here, Bank Of Granda was even more impressive when making all by over seven lengths in 42.80 a week ago and her early speed can take her a long way clear on the first circuit again.
Mark Wallis has two good chances earlier on the card, starting with Kilmore Dancer in the Towcester Standard at 2.16. The November 2022 son of Ballymac Bolger was only denied by a head in the Derby Plate final here in June and has subsequently reached the 3 Steps To Victory final at Sheffield. He returns from a couple of weeks off but this is a very winnable contest and he can do it both ways.
His kennelmate Vermithor has had a few chances now but he looks worth sticking with in division one of the Towcester Maiden at 3.11. The December 2023 youngster showed lots of potential when runner-up on his debut in the heats of the JR Racing Puppy Trophy here in June (non-runner in the final) but has failed to build on that promise in three subsequent starts over this track and trip. However, he wasn’t able to lead in any of those outings and has an excellent chance to get first run on the inside here, so we could finally see what he is capable of.
