Sunday's Tips

*** 2.16 Towcester – Arthur Minute (3pts)

** 2.52 Towcester – Fabulous Riki (2pt)

* 4.07 Towcester – Crossfield Niall (1pt)

Arthur Minute rates as the nap of the day when the Patrick Godfrey-trained railer lines up from T2 in the Towcester Maiden Stayers open race at 2.16. The 2025 Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory runner-up has kept good company of late, running against the likes of New Destiny, Romeo Empire and Amazing Zeus and this represents a drop-in class for the July 2023 son of Coolavanny Hoffa. The key to the race is the break. It’s imperative that Arthur pops out and leads round. On the bunny, his natural middle gears will see him skip half a dozen clear, then it's catch me if you can.

At 2.52 in the Towcester Maiden open race, Fabulous Riki looks well-drawn in T1 to hold the rails and make all. Last time out on four-bend debut Riki caught my eye when finishing second over course and distance. This afternoon, if Riki traps well and leads off the second bend it’ll take a good one to back run him. Leslies King (T3) is lightly raced and is worth noting in the market.

The third and final selection this afternoon is Crossfield Niall, who runs from T3 in division two of the Towcester Standard at 4.07. Oxford raider Niall shows plenty of early pace and regularly dips under four seconds at his home track Oxford in sectional times. If Niall brings his trapping boots to Towcester this afternoon, he can lead round and kick for home down the back straight and make all.
