There are some interesting open races at Towcester on Sunday afternoon that we have studied for our greyhound racing tips.

Although he is a short price (was 1/1 for those with fast fingers and a bet365 account), The Other Boss looks very hard to beat in the 2.16 for Carol Weatherall which makes him the nap on the card. He was a first round casualty in the Derby but that was in a very messy heat behind the defending champion De Lahdedah. He ran Cheap Sandwiches to five lengths in a trial stakes prior to that, form that looks increasingly strong. A pair of wins in December here clocking 28.80 and 28.91 show what he is capable of when he gets things right and in this field he can probably afford not to do everything perfectly but still win.
Next best this afternoon is Jamie Kingsley's Keylogues Runner in the 4.07. He is the sole seeded runner in the contest with five railers inside and those could have a couple drawn the wrong way around. Trap 1 Toolmaker Quick looks liable to move off from there and trap 5 Fabulous Livia shows a lot of her best form from trap 1 and looks like moving left. That should allow the selection the freedom of Northamptonshire around the outside and make up for his early exit form the Derby where a few felt that he was a lively outsider.
The draw could also be the key for the Jason Grey-trained Loxleys Troy in the 3.11. He didn't run as badly in the opening round of the Derby as a quick scan of the result would suggest. He was beaten 12 and a half lengths but he got a push wide at the opening turn and then was brought to a virtual standstill at the third bend. A 29.51 trial shows he has ability and as the sole middle seed outside of five railers, he might be able to steer clear of any potential bother inside.
