New sponsor at Oxford
Oxford promoter Kevin Boothby has announced a new sponsor for the Sandy Lane Sprint which starts on Saturday.
The ultimatetipster.com Sandy Lane Sprint will be run over 253m and is the first in a series of events at the Cowley track - both open-race and graded - to be included as part of the new partnership.
“The Ultimate Racing Tipster is a friend of mine and is making his name in that space,” said Boothby. “It’s mainly for horse racing fans but there’s a lot of crossover with greyhound fans and the horses so it’s a good fit.
“We’ve got great relationships with BetGoodwin and bet365 and having theultimatetipster.com as another backer here just strengthens what we can offer open race-wise in 2026.
“Betting and horse and greyhound racing go hand in hand so it’s the perfect market and works both ways which is the perfect partnership.”
Theultimatetipster.com Sandy Lane Sprint is for 24 runners with heats on Saturday, the semi-finals a week later, and the £3,000 final on Saturday, March 14.
*DETAILS for next month’s bet365 Hunt Cup at Oxford have been confirmed.
Run over 650m, heats will be staged on Saturday, March 14 - the same night as the final of theultimatetipster.com Sandy Lane Sprint - with the semis a week later. The £10,000 final will be staged on Saturday, March 28.
