Tonight is the final of the Arena Racing Company Northern Puppy Derby at Newcastle but there is also a decent card of open racing at Hove, so we have tips from both.

After being quickest in the opening round of the Arena Racing Company Northern Puppy Derby, Copney Queen found everything going against her in the semis. She only failed to make it into tonight's decider by a length and a quarter, losing two lengths on the sectional alone before she was hampered at the opening turn. She can confirm the impression that she made on her UK debut.
Droopys Deploy got off the mark for Jason Heath over 515m here last week, and now that he has got his head in front for the kennel, it would be no surprise if he were to run up a sequence. The level of form that he showed in Ireland was right out of the top drawer, so he is capable of stepping up on his win last week with another successful effort.
Things didn't go right for Gothic Joshua on his first start at Newcastle last week. He anticipated the start and missed the break as a result, pacing up well to the bend but only finding trouble. He is fully entitled to come on plenty for that first look around and his form at Doncaster would suggest that he is well up to winning a race of this level.
