Thursday's Tips

*** Toddys Storm - 8.01 Newcastle

**  Ballymac Shontae - 7.27 Newcastle

* Glengar Vegas - 8.54 Newcastle

It was a stunning British debut from Toddys Storm last week for Tom Heilbron and she can follow up this evening. She went from the striped jacket on that occasion but has the orange on her back now, a slow starter outside and a railer who is going to move to the left inside of her. It looks a perfect draw for her to attack early and make every yard of the running.

The drop back to a sprint trip worked well for Ballymac Shontae in the heats of the SR Transport sprint. He was the quickest qualifier for this final, having found the stiff four bends just too far here in the past. There could be more to come from him as a sprinter as he is only an April 24 whelp with just 10 career starts under his belt.

Newcomers do not come much better bred that Glengar Vegas, out of a dam who was an Irish Derby runner-up. His two mixed trials at this track have seen him thrash a multiple top grade winner by four and three-quarter lengths in a sprint and a Category Two Future Stars Puppy Trophy finalist over this trip by three lengths.
