The puppy final at 8.13 looks a great opportunity for last week's quickest heat winner Gordon Bennett to extend his recent winning streak for Nathan Hunt. He defied a draw in the same white jacket seven nights back that he will sport again this evening, and can get himself out and gone on the front end once more.
There is a bitches final at 8.13 where Droopys Doris ought to be very hard to beat. She is a very smart performer when she has the red jacket on her back as she showed when winning her heat last week. A Laurels semi-finalist where she ran into the likes of Droopys Aladdin, she is in much calmer waters against her own sex.
There is a return to six bends this evening for Fire Height Lila. She was a finalist in the Category Two BetGoodwin Stayers Series at Oxford last autumn but is yet to get herself off the mark over six bends. Her last win came at Towcester in mid-March when producing a 28.77 calculated time. A repeat of that level of form early on should have these well strung out.
