Thursday's Tips

*** Wise Eruption - 8.31 Monmore

** Burrows Charm - 7.49 Hove

* Ballycian Alva - 8.59 Hove

The last few weeks have seen plenty of improvement from Wise Eruption who is starting to show the same very smart level of form that a number of her littermates already have. She stays this 480m trip strongly and has added a smarter exit from the lids to her arsenal which makes her a very tough sort to beat when putting it all together.

Things didn't go to plan for Burrows Charm in the Derby but he is a top-notch runner over a stiff four bends on his day. He has been a solid runner-up in his last two starts at this track, both over 500m, but the step back up to the 515m distance this evening is a big plus for this strong stayer.

The step up to six bends for the first time this evening could be the making of Ballycian Alva. Her dam is a litter sister to Greenwell Ange who was a Grand Prix finalist (had to miss the final with lameness) in 2024 before finishing third in a St Leger semi-final. This bitch looks to have plenty of stamina about her and in a field made up of local graders, she should prove too strong.
