Monmore are back to their Thursday night opens so we head there for the tips this evening with three selections for the card.

** Gordon Bennett - 8.47 Monmore
* Kilara Berb - 6.31 Monmore
A sprint contest at Monmore tonight contains our best bet in the shape of Crafty Alejandro. He made the semi-final stage of the Dunstall Dash earlier on this month after an impressive opening round win. He set what is currently the quickest time of the year over this track and trip back in February, a length and three-quarters quicker than any other dog has achieved so far. He should be too good for these.
The return to maiden company should see Gordon Bennett off the mark for Nathan Hunt. He made the semis of the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby at this track, finding plenty of trouble in a race won by the competition winner Underground Gold. The red jacket on his back here is a big plus to him, and can give him the boost he needs to win his first open.
It could be a good night for Hunt as Kilara Berb is the one to beat in the first open of the evening. Her form here in February when beating Armagh Daithi and finishing second to Flashing Fender is a level above her opponents. She needs to get out in front and lead but as long as she traps, she is going to prove hard to beat.
